Congratulations Dr Rose Rickford!

We are glad and proud to celebrate the award of a PhD to our Research Associate, Rose Rickford. It was awarded by the University of York for a thesis on a topic that couldn’t be more significant for our work, with this title:
What are the characteristics of organisations that are able to meet need and support flourishing? An explanatory account of grassroots community organising in England and Wales during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Rose is preparing a report for Public World drawing out the main themes and findings of her research, so watch this space for news of that in the coming weeks. She will also join us in a Community Cuppa session so that you can find out more and explore what this means for the ways in which public service organisations relate to the communities they serve.
Meanwhile, you can read the abstract of the thesis and request a copy here.
