Colin Talbot
Colin has had an unusual career history. After leaving school at 16 he worked for over two decades in a range of manual, technical and white collar jobs in the private and public sectors.
In his late 30s he became an academic at Southbank after studying for a Masters. He was first appointed a Professor in 1995 after being awarded a PhD from the LSE and worked for Glamorgan, Nottingham and Manchester Universities. He is now Emeritus Professor of Government at Manchester.
Since 1990 Colin has worked as a researcher, advisor and consultant to a wide variety of governments and public agencies in over two dozen countries. He’s authored several books, dozens of academic articles and appeared on many media platforms.
